Pioneering research in cooperation with TU Bergakademie Freiberg

For innovative projects, we regularly enter into alliances with academic partners – because research work is valuable for both sides. We get scientific expertise and external input, while the universities can explore exciting fields of research with practical applications.

Overview of our SGDs

Rethinking tomorrow, together

Waste is becoming an increasingly important source of raw materials. Thermal recovery of waste not only generates energy, it also produces residues, which can be used in more and more ways. This is why we are in a permanent dialogue with scientists to advance innovative product developments in the areas of residues, heat and flue gas. With TU Bergakademie Freiberg, for example, we are exploring how flue gas residues such as filter dust can be recovered and thus contribute to a circular economy.

In general, the researchers are exceptionally willing and motivated because our aspiration is that the research projects go beyond the purely theoretical and are put into practice as quickly as possible.

In Dialogue: Sebastian Heinemann

INEMET at TU Bergakademie Freiberg

At the Institute for Non-Ferrous Metallurgy and High Purity Materials (INEMET) at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the focus is on sustainable and innovative processes that rethink existing production processes and the handling of supposed waste products in the spirit of the circular economy and zero waste thinking.
