Making sustainability understandable -
good things come in threes
EEW is a company that tackles the complex issues of tomorrow and, at the same time, uses sophisticated technology to safely manage waste in many regions of Europe every day. Moreover, we ensure that thousands of households have a dependable supply of electricity and heat. Producing a sustainability report that reliably documents all of a company’s facts, figures and efforts is not an easy task and needs to be done thoroughly. The “key figures” are just one part of this; another part is what customers, partners and not least our employees want to know about the company and our activities.
Sharing the latest updates
To present our diverse goals, paths and real-life projects in a clear way, we have decided to publish a magazine and this website dedicated to the topic of sustainability, in addition to our Sustainability Report. We also expanded our existing theme “Let's talk about:tomorrow” with the addition of two aspects: “Let’s learn from:yesterday” and “Let’s act:today.” In this way, we are showing the links to our successful existing business and demonstrating that we are already implementing a number of activities to make our contribution to society and the environment.
The magazine “In dialogue for sustainability” and this website show our three themes reflected in concrete projects and with the help of people who work for and with EEW. Going forward, we will also use this website to share information about current and exciting projects relating to our environmental and societal engagement.
It is important that we talk about tomorrow. Equally, we need to learn from yesterday and act today!
An exciting process ...
Our plant sites, the central divisions and the Board of Management took part in surveys and workshops as part of the preparation of the materiality analysis, strategy, roadmap and the content development of the Sustainability Report. It was an exciting process for all involved – for the fifth Sustainability Report – where we learned from yesterday, acted today and talked about tomorrow.
Stay in dialogue with us for sustainability.
